Have you known
someone that will never be written about in a history book,
but made a profound difference in your life, or the
lives of others? A nobody that was a real somebody?
This is the place to tell their
story. Your submission will be reviewed and appear
within a day or two. |

No
unsung anybodies in this group:
Queen Elizabeth I
King Henry VIII
Anne Boleyn
Katherine of Aragon
Mary Queen of Scots
British Royals that are
as popular today as
they were in the
16th
century.
With help of historians such as
Alison Weir and novelists such as
Philippa Gregory, and
performers such as Cate Blanchett and Helen Mirren, the Tudor
dynasty is hugely popular in recent times. With two movies
due to be released in 2008, one about the Boleyn sisters and the
other about Mary Queen of Scots, and the 2nd season of
Showtime's series, The Tudors, the enthusiasm won't be
ending soon.

Ellen
She became a licensed pharmacist in the late 1930s when
other coeds were more apt to pursue teaching or
nursing degrees. Ellen had instead chosen the
career path of her father, a small town druggist...
Dot
She was the oldest of seven children, her youngest
sister just two years old when Dot, age sixteen,
quit school to go to work on an assembly line in a
factory...
Edna
I wish I could remember her name with certainty,
that kind, graceful, generous woman. I was filled
with trepidation on my first day in college. As a
bit of a wild child, I'd skipped most of high
school, really did not think of myself as college
material...

Mr. Clark
The scent, the light,
the shapes and textures of the plants did something
to me that I've never forgotten...
Stan
I've known
people who are smarter, kinder, wealthier, more
influential and wiser than Stan, but I've not known
anyone I would rather be...
Paul
The last thing Paul wanted was for Maribelle to
stop spending and deprive him of his favorite
reason for drinking...
